1. Go to Control Panel -> Network Connections
2. Click Create New Connection from the Network Tasks
3. A New Connection Wizard will pop-up.

4. Click Next

5. Select Set up an advanced connection
6. Click Next

7. Select Allow incoming connections
8. Click Next

9. Leave boxes Unchecked
10. Click Next

11. Select Allow virtual private connections
12. Click Next

13. Specify the user who can connect to this computer
14. Click Next

15. Select the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
16. Click Properties

17. Check Allow callers to access my local area network
- If you check this option, the remote user can access your local area network if this computer is on a local area network.
18. Select Assign TCP/IP addresses automatically using DHCP if this computer is a DHCP-Enabled Server
19. Select Specify TCP/IP Address if you want the remote computer to manually setup its TCP/IP Address.
Note: Make sure the TCP/IP address scheme is the same as on your VPN Server
20. Click OK

21. Click Finish
Note: If the VPN Server is behind a router, Port Mapping will need to be done on the router. Standard port usage is 1723 for PPTP. You might also need to configure your router for PPTP Passthrough. Port usage for IPSec is 500, 50-51. These ports will have to be forwarded to the VPN Server's IP Address.
